
Rekha “Rashmi” Bartlett has served as the Inspector General for the U.S. International Trade Commission since July 2021. In that capacity, Inspector General Bartlett leads oversight of the USITC, which includes independent audit and investigative services to improve the economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of the Commission’s operations as well as to detect and prevent waste, fraud, and abuse.
Before her appointment as Inspector General, IG Bartlett had been Acting Assistant Inspector General for Special Review and Evaluation at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Inspector General. She has also served as Deputy Executive Director, Regulatory Audit in the Office of Trade at U.S. Customs and Border Protection; as Assistant Inspector General for Audit at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation OIG, and as Chief, Program Review, at the U.S. Office of Government Ethics.
