Audit Plan
Each fiscal year (FY), the OIG produces an audit plan, which describes audits and reviews planned to advance our oversight mission for the U.S. International Trade Commission. In addition, as needed, the OIG may update the plan to address new or unique issues.
Strategic Plan
The Office of Inspector General’s (OIG) Five-Year Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years (FY) 2024- 2028 describes our oversight priorities, which are effective and independent oversight of the US International Trade Commission. The OIG is focused on high-quality work that promotes efficiency and effectiveness in Commission program and operations and working with internal and external stakeholders to detect and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
The strategic plan guides the OIG’s work as it carries out its responsibilities pursuant to the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended, and related authorities. It describes our goals and objectives which are independent and effective oversight, service to internal and external stakeholders, and maximizing the return on the public resources provided to our office and the U.S International Trade Commission. The plan is a road map for how we will improve the economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of Commission program and operations while also preventing and detecting fraud, waste, and abuse.
